Colt Lightning, Medium Frame, CAL: 38 (38-40 WCF), MFG: 1898, SN: 83673, Pump Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel. The original straight grip stocks are excellent, with minor scuffs, scratches & light contusions, to the thinning remains of original finish. There are two larger contusions on the left side of the stock. The original metal blue finish rates 80% on the barrel, 70% on the receiver & 85% on the mag tube, with areas of thinning developing a thin brown patina. Bore is very good & bright, with some spotty areas of cleaned roughness. Barrel carries an adjustable rear & an elongated blade front sight. Crescent metal buttplate. A high condition & collector quality Colt. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2500 to 4500
