Remington, Model 25, marked 25-20, MFG: 1923-36 SN: 9545, Pump Action Take-down Rifle, 24'' round barrel. The original flat pistol grip wood stocks are excellent & solid, with the stock having been professionally cleaned, lightly sanded & nicely refinished to match the original finish still on the forend. There are minor finish level light scratches or handling marks to the stocks. The original factory metal blue finish has 90% coverage on receiver, 80% on the mag tube & barrel, with the barrel starting to tone plum in areas of thinning. Bore is excellent. Barrel carries an adjustable rear & standard front sights. Remington stamped crescent metal buttplate. These smaller caliber & light weight pumps were popular for small game & varmint hunting & most saw heavy use. With less than 32,000 model 25 rifles produced, nice examples are fairly rare.
