RARE DELUXE Winchester, Model 1890, 3rd variation, .22 WRF, Cal., MFG. 1912, SN: 493114, Pump Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel. Special ordered WRF deluxe rifle. The original factory checkered, capped pistol grip wood stocks are excellent. There are several tiny to minor handling marks, thin scratches & contusion to the very good original finish, with thinning at the carry points of the wrist & forend. There is a couple of small chips to the edge of the pistol grip cap. The original metal blue finish rates 75% on the barrel, toning a bit plum in areas of thinning loss. The right side of the receiver has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thin brown patina. The left side still maintains 50% of the original blue finish. The mag tube is also worn mostly gun metal gray, with remnants of blue along the upper sides protected by the barrel. The rifle is fitted with standard adjustable rear & small blade front sights. Bore is good, with areas of cleaned roughness amongst solid rifling. Crescent metal buttplate. Smooth tight action. An overall very nice & original deluxe 1890 rifle This is a rare & unusually configured collectible 1890 rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 3000 to 4500
