Charter Arms, Model AR-7 Explorer, CAL: .22 LR, MFG: 1973-95, SN: A24789, Semi-Auto Rifle, 16'' detachable barrel. The factory flat pistol grip, black synthetic stock is very good near excellent, with various minor to small scuffs or scratches. The receiver & barrel are a aluminum alloy with a gloss black paint finish that rates 90% overall, with some scrapes & scratches from use. The barrel uses a steel liner inside. The barrel, magazine, & receiver can all be dismantled & stored in the buttend of the stock, & the whole sealed unit is waterproof & floats. Bore is very good & bright. Factory blade front sight & aperture rear. Stock carries a black plastic buttplate or cap, which is removable to access the parts storage compartments. Mechanical function appears solid.
