I. Hollis & Sons, Muzzleloader Shotgun, CAL: .73 bore, MFG: circa 1850's-60's, SN: NONE, Percussion, 28 1/2'' barrel. The straight grip wood stock is good & solid, having been heavily sanded & refinished. There are multiple large edge chips around the side plates, a couple grain cracks & other minor handling marks to the applied finish. There is an inlaid blank oval inscription plate & a trapdoor compartment in the belly of the stock. The letters ''ALS'' are punched into the right side of the stock with what appears to be finishing nails. The blued finish on the barrels has worn to a mix of metal gray, brown patina & small traces of remaining blue. The side plates have worn to a mix of metal gray & brown patina. They display simple ornamental hand engraving. Bores are fair, dark & rough. The solid rib holds a front bead. The right hammer spur is broken. Front trigger moves freely. We recommend this gun be inspected by a licensed before use. Ramrod present, but appears short for the gun. SOLD AS IS NO RETURNS. Blackpowder, No FFL Req. - Value: 100 to 300
