Spencer Gun Co., The New American Hammerless, CAL: 12GA (Blackpowder Only), MFG: 1880's-90's, SN: 2202, Break Action SxS Shotgun, Choke: MOD/IC, 2 1/2'' chamber, 30'' barrels. The makers name is marked on both sides of the receiver & the model is marked on the top rib. The checkered round knob wood stocks are poor. The buttstock has a large break where it meets the receiver, along with dings, scrapes & scratches throughout. The twisted/laminated steel pattern is prominent & the browned finish is excellent, with handling areas worn to metal gray. The receiver is case-hardened, with nickel finish over top. There are remnants of nickel finish & faint case-colors in heavily protected areas. Bores are fair, with roughness & pitting. The solid matted rib holds a front bead. Stock has a checkered plastic buttplate. Double triggers. Rear trigger doesn't function. We recommend this firearm be inspected by a licensed gunsmith before use. SOLD AS IS NO RETURNS.
