Iver Johnson, Excel, CAL: 410, MFG: 1910-35, SN: 209165XF, Break Action Single Shot Shotgun, 26'' barrel. The manufacturer is not marked on this firearm. Both Iver Johnson & Crescent Firearms made an ''EXCEL'' model, the difference between the two was Crescent used Sn's that were only numbers, while I.J used number & letter combinations. With that info, we determined that this is most likely a I.J. make. The round knob wood stocks are excellent, having been sanded & refinished. There is a repaired crack on the right side of the wrist, along with smoothed contusions, scrapes & dings. The blued finish on the barrel has worn to a mix of metal gray & brown patina. The case-hardened receiver, retains shadowing of case-colors, but has mostly worn to metal gray & toned to a brown patina. Bore is very & bright with a couple spots of light pitting. The barrel holds a flattened front bead. Stock has a grooved plastic buttplate. A good shooter .410. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 200
