Deutsche Waffen-Und Munitionsfabrik (DWM), M1909 Argentino Mauser, Cal: .30-06, MFG: 1910, S/N: D2660, Bolt action rifle, 24'' barrel.
CONDITION: The cut down & shaped, semi-pistol grip walnut stock is excellent with only a couple superficial nicks, dings, & scratches. stock was lightly sanded & oiled when it was cut down leading to the military cartouches being thin. Wood plug in the cleaning rod channel where it was cut down. The right cheek of the stock is marked with a Argentina coat of arms roundel stamp. There is one faint crest cartouche on the bottom of the wrist & three more faint stamps in the belly of the stock. The right flat of the stock just in front of the recoil lug is stamped with a mismatched S/N ''C2251''. The barrel carries a old arsenal re-blue with some spots of roughness under the blue. The barrel's finish rates 90% with some scuffs/scratches. The receiver was left in the white (unfinished) from the factory, it has been buffed clean at some point with a couple small spots of roughness & thinned markings especially the crest. The left side of the receiver is marked ''DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND'', ''MUNITIONSABRIKEN. BERLIN''. The left side of the receiver band is marked ''MAUSER MODELO'', ''ARGENTINO 1909'', the top is marked with the marked with the Argentina coat of arms, the right side is marked with the S/N. The left side of the chamber was double stamped ''CAL 30-06''. The right side of the chamber is marked with the S/N & the top is marked with a proof. S/N matching bolt, barrel, & trigger guard/magazine assembly. The bore is good to very good. its bright with solid rifling but has continuous roughness throughout the bore. The barrel holds a barleycorn front sight with a tangent V-notch rear marked 3 to 20. The stock carries a steel buttplate left in the white, has rust speckling. The rifle has the factory rear sling loop & an aftermarket front swivel. Mechanical function appears solid. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
