Colt, Single Action Army, CAL: 45 Colt, MFG: 1903, SN: 244067, SAO Revolver, 4 3/4'' Barrel. The checkered vulcanized rubber Colt grips with Rampant Colt logos are excellent with some wear from use. The checkering is slightly thinned with some small dings & scratches throughout. The metal holds a non-factory nickeled finish. The nickel finish on the gun is good to very good with some gun metal grey exposed. There is some light brown patina in hard to reach areas around the gun. There are substantial drag lines on the cylinder. The gun appears to have been substantially buffed in the refinish process thinning the markings. The only markings on the barrel is a non-legible & a barely visible ''45 Colt'' on the left side. The two line patent roll stamp & rampant colt logo on the left side of the frame is slightly faded but still visible & legible. The serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, & butt of the grip match & are all visible & legible but slightly faded. Bore is fair to good, the rifling has thinned but is still pronounced & the bore is dark with even roughness throughout with substantial pitting concentrated near the center of the barrel. Mechanically solid, seems to function well. The action has all four distinct clicks that one would expect from a SAA. The clicks in the action are very tactile & audible, the action feels tight. A fixed front sight is integral to the barrel, a rear sight notch is cut into the frame. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 3000
