Colt, Single Action Army (US Property Marked), CAL: 45 Colt, MFG: 1885, SN: 114830, SAO Revolver, 5 1/2'' Barrel. The hand carved grips are very good with some handling wear & small dings & scratches throughout. The blue on the barrel has toned to an even chocolate patina with some splotches of original blue in protected areas. The finish on the other parts has thinned & toned to an even mix of gunmetal gray & brown patina with some small splotches of blue throughout. The top of the barrel has ''COLT'S PT. F.A .MFG. CO.HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.'', the barrel has no other visible markings. The left side of the frame has a standard 3 line patent roll stamp & a ''U.S.'' property mark that are both faded slightly with the property mark being fully visible & the patent roll stamp being approximately half way obscured. Bore is good to very good, the rifling has thinned slightly but is still pronounced & relatively bright with consistent roughness & speckled light pitting throughout. Mechanically fair, partially functional. The action has three of the four distinct clicks that one would expect from a SAA. The hammer is missing the last click & does not lock all the way to the rearward position. The clicks in the action are very tactile & audible. A fixed front sight is integral to the barrel, a rear sight notch is cut into the frame. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 3000
