Colt, M1877 D.A. ''Thunderer'', CAL: 41 Long Colt, MFG: 1890, SN: 77456, DA/SA Revolver, 4 1/2'' Barrel. The checkered vulcanized rubber birds head grips with Rampant Colt logos are good to very good, solid with approximately half of the checkering worn smooth & some small scratches & dings throughout. The original blued finish on the gun has worn thin & toned to a brown patina. The gun has near total coverage with some exposed gun metal grey concentrated in high wear areas like the front strap & backstrap of the grip. There are some small areas with remainders of original blue in protected areas, most notably near the trigger guard & ejector housing. All of the markings on the gun are visible & legible & the serial numbers on the frame, backstrap, & trigger guard are matching. Bore is good, the rifling has thinned slightly but is still very pronounced. The bore has darkened with even roughness throughout. Mechanically solid, seems to function well. A fixed front sight is integral to the barrel, a rear sight notch is cut into the frame. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
