Colt, M1877 D.A. ''Lightning'', CAL: 22 LR (Sleeved From 38), MFG: 1901, SN: 123031, DA/SA Revolver, 4 1/2'' Barrel. The wood grips are very good, near excellent, solid with some small dings & scratches throughout. The gun appears to have been reblued at some point. The blue rates approximately 80% with some holster wear, handling wear, & thinning. The markings are slightly thinned but still visible & legible. The serial numbers on the frame & trigger guard, & backstrap are matching. Bore is good, the rifling is strong, the bore has darkened with some roughness & light pitting concentrated near the muzzle. Mechanically fair, seems to function well for the most part. The cylinder does not always lock into position when the hammer is cocked & occasionally needs manual assistance in completing the cylinder's rotation. The double action has the same problem. There is likely a timing issue that should be resolved by a gunsmith. A fixed front sight is integral to the barrel, a rear sight notch is cut into the frame. SOLD AS IS NO RETURNS.
