Smith & Wesson, 38/44 Outdoorsman Model of 1950 ''Pre-Model 32'', CAL: 38 SPL, MFG: 1950-61, SN: S93454, DA/SA Revolver, 6 1/2'' Barrel. The factory checkered wood grips with ''S&W'' Medallions are excellent with light edge chipping around the checkering. The factory blued finish rates approximately 95% light use wear including a drag line & holster wear on the muzzle. There are a couple of small splotches of patina on the gun. All of the standard markings around the gun are crisp. Bore is excellent, bright with strong rifling. Mechanically solid, seems to function well. The barrel holds a fixed front sight. A windage & elevation adjustable rear sight is mounted to the top of the frame. Comes in a correct Smith & Wesson box with wax paper & other packing paper. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1600
