Smith & Wesson, Model 29, CAL: 44 MAG, MFG: 1959-60, SN: S196592, DA/SA Revolver, 4'' Barrel. The factory checkered wood grips with ''S&W'' medallions are very good, near excellent, with some handling wear & small dings & surface scratches throughout. There are also some very small edge chips throughout. The original blue rates approximately 90% with light wear. The cylinder has a clear drag line, the muzzle has some holster wear, & the backstrap has some thinning. There is a clear consistent scratch pattern throughout. All of the standard markings around the gun are crisp. Bore is excellent, bright with strong rifling. Mechanically solid, seems to function well. The barrel holds a fixed front sight with a red plastic insert. A windage & elevation adjustable rear sight is mounted to the top of the frame. Comes with a custom wood display case. The case is lined with blue fabric under which is formed plastic that fits the gun nicely & has a slot for a cleaning rod. A cleaning rod is present with a brush, there is a wood lid for the cleaning rod section which seems to be well made and holds a ''S&W'' medallion. The gun also comes with Smith & Wesson wax paper & a specifications sheet. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 800 to 1600
