Hopkin & Allen, Unknown Model (Top Break), CAL: 38 S&W, MFG: 1885-1917, SN: 8961, Double Action Revolver, 5 1/2'' Barrel. The checkered vulcanized rubber grips are excellent, solid with minimal handling wear & some slight dings & surface scratches. The nickeled finish on the gun is fair, with rust speckling concentrated in high wear areas. Bore is fair, darkened with slightly thinned rifling & shallow clean pitting throughout. Has a few mechanical issues & likely needs some gunsmithing to function properly. The gun only functions in double action, the hammer can't be drawn to the rear until it begins being moved by the trigger & will not lock to the rear. The barrel holds a fixed front sight.
