Palmetto State Armory (Frame), 1911, CAL: 45 ACP, MFG: Modern, SN: PE001918, Single Action Semi Auto Pistol, 5'' Barrel. The faux ivory grips are in excellent condition with minimal wear. The black finish on the gun is excellent with very light wear and some small surface scratches. Bore is very good, bright with slightly thinned rifling and light roughness throughout. Mechanically solid, seems to function well. The parts fitment is very good, the slide and frame has very little play and is quite smooth. The front strap of the grip has been stippled. The trigger is heavy for a 1911 (an even 6 Lbs. on my gauge) and gritty. This gun seems to have been someone's project 1911 on its way to becoming a very nice target gun. With a little work on the trigger (or a replacement) this would be an excellent shooter. The slide holds a fixed fiberoptic front sight and a windage and elevation adjustable rear two dot sight.
