The High Standard MFG. Co., Model B, CAL: 22LR, MFG: 1938, SN: 40387, Semi Auto Pistol, 6 3/4'' Barrel. The factory checkered plastic grips are in very good, near excellent, condition. The grips are solid with some edge wear & wear from use. The gun seems to have been reblued, the blue has retained nearly full coverage with several areas being blued over old scratches, dings, & shallow pitting. The blue has thinned from handling wear & rates approximately 90% overall. Bore is excellent, bright with strong rifling. Mechanically solid, seems to function well. The barrel holds a fixed black front sight with a brass or copper tip & a fixed black rear sight. The original sight seems to have been cut off of the slide & placed into a dovetail cut made near the rear of the barrel so as to make the sights stationary when firing. The base of the original sight is still in the dovetail cut on the slide & has been blued over. Comes with a magazine. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 200 to 400
