Winchester Model 70, CAL: 250-3000 Sav, MFG: 1946, SN: 63887, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' barrel. Very rare caliber marking, pre-64 rifle. The original checkered & flat pistol grip wood stock is very good, displaying several finish level to small scrapes, scratches, contusions & nicks to the original finish. One larger gouge/scrape at the toe. The original metal blue finish rates 80% overall. Bore is excellent. Fitted with a Redfield 6x 1'' tube scope on Redfield mounts, The barrel carries an open rear dovetail & hooded ramp front sight. Buttstock carries the original checkered widow's peak metal buttplate. Sling swivels. Matching SN hand applied to bolt. An original surviving 40's model 70 in a seldom scene caliber. Highly collectible. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 2500 to 5000
