Description

Remington, Model 17, 20 GA., MFG. 1922, SN: 1862, Pump Shotgun, FULL choke, 27 1/4'' barrel, including choke tube. John Browning patent & the predecessor to the Ithaca 37 shotgun. Manufactured from 1921 to 41, this is an early second year example. The original wood stocks are good & solid, despite a 3'' stress crack on both sides of the wrist emanating from the receiver & a couple of short stress cracks behind the trigger guard. The stock has been lightly sanded & refinished, leaving very few handling marks. Forend appears original. The stock has been nicely, but nonprofessionally, checkered. The metal finish has worn completely to a gun metal gray. Bore is very good. Barrel fitted with an adjustable Deluxe Poly Chock. Buttstock carries a Remington UMC buttplate. LOP is 13 5/8''. Sling provisions. Nice looking 20 ga., which is nearly 100 years old. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 150 to 300
