US, W.H. Horstmann & Sons, Naval Marine Officers sword, 1815-1820, with matching shagreen scabbard. Brass handle with spotty patina. Both sides of the blade is etched with intricate floral designs, American eagles, ''US'', & other American imagery, the right side of the blade is etched ''W.H.'', ''HORSTMANN'', ''& SONS'', ''PHILADELPHIA''. The spine of the blade is etched ''IRON PROOF''. The blade has a light speckling of dark patina. The scabbard is missing the throat piece. The leather has rub wear & small nicks, the brass furniture has light spotty patina. Grade: Excellent - Value: 150 to 400
