FANTASTIC Winchester, Model 92 SRC, marked 44 WCF, MFG. 1908, SN: 470853, Lever Action Carbine, 20'' Round Barrel, Full mag. This carbine carries British proof marks on the left side of the receiver & barrel from the London proof house, which date from 1875 to 1925. The original wood stocks are excellent & solid. They carry the original finish, with several light handling blemishes, scuffs or contusions. The original factory blue finish remains at 95% overall. The lower tang is stamped in 1/16'' lettering ''J.J'' & 1/16'' lettering etched with an electric pencil ''SIMPSON LTD G-BURGIL'', it is not very noticeable under the lever, but worth mentioning. The case-hardened hammer & lever still display the remains of case-colors. Bore is excellent & bright. Barrel fitted with a carbine ladder rear sight & carbine box front sight. Metal carbine buttplate. Original saddle ring, with leather lash. Tight action. A wonderful carbine that made it across the pond & back, while remaining in high collectible & original condition.* FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 8000 to 11000
