Description

Tula, Model: M91/30, Cal: 7.62x54mmR, MFG: 1936, S/N: 20148, Bolt action rifle, 29'' barrel. The straight wrist wood stock is very good with small nicks, dings, dents, & scratches from use, & has some finish wear. The stock has shellac that was added after WW2. the Tula acceptance stamp is present on the right cheek but is faint & worn, possible was sanded over. There is a few more fain illegible stamps around the stock, faint either from wear or light sanding. The black metal finish rates 85% overall with areas of light wear. The top of the barrel is marked with a arrow in a star Tula stamp, ''1936'', a faint ''No'' stamp, the S/N, & many other proof marks. Rifle has a S/N mis-matched bolt, but has a S/N matched magazine floor plate & buttplate. The bore is very good, its bright with strong rifling, but has consistent roughness throughout the bore. Rifle has not been counter bored. The barrel holds a post front sight with a protective globe, & a tangent U-notch rear sight marked 1 to 20. the stock carries a smooth steel buttplate with some bluing wear. Rifle has both sling holes for use with dog collar attachments to mount a sling. Rifle comes with dog collars & sling. Rifle also has its cleaning rod. 1936 is the year Russia switched from the hex receivers, to the round receivers. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 250 to 500
